It's been said that, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. How about a slice or two of apple pie? What will that do? In my situation, one thing for sure, that will bring a big smile on my face. I've always loved eating apple pies. I guess it had something to do with my youthful years, when we didn't have much apples in the homeland because it was all imported from overseas. Having an apple was quite a status symbol back in the day and eating an apple was a huge plus factor. Imagine when one had an apple pie for dessert! That was big time!

I'm not really much of a beer nor alcoholic drinker. I never acquired the taste for it. I'd rather spend my money on buying food or books and magazines. I have nothing against beer really. Just didn't have enough, right exposure to it. I have mates who are heavy beer-drinkers. They can't let a day pass without drinking beer. There are those who will drink a glass or bottle a day and there are those who will drink several bottles, especially during weekends. Of course, it will not be complete without the side dish of meat, peanuts, chips.

In April 1997, Danish dance-pop group Aqua released a song entitled "Barbie Girl." And now there's Barbie, an upcoming romantic comedy film, featuring Margot Robbie (Barbie) and Ryan Gosling (Ken). It is said to be the first live-action film adaptation of this multimedia franchise.

Although it is small, it is a treasure (Maori proverb). It's that time of the year when one gets a year older and hopefully much wiser too! This being my 65th spin around the sun, I am wishing and hoping for something extra special to eventuate. Of course, I will be with my family, my loved ones, for a meal, preferably in a Filipino restaurant. However on second thought, we just might not go out since the Covid-19 pandemic is still very much present. I wouldn't want my family and me to catch this annoying and persistent virus. Takeaways or much better, Uber Eats will do the trick. It's not the place that makes it fun and memorable. It is the company, the people that are important. This water bearer is just super excited to see what this year will bring me! Good or bad, great or small, is all good for me!

We will be known forever by the tracks we leave (Dakota proverb). A brand-new year is upon us! What will be in-store for me this 2021, my 65th spin around the sun? To be honest, I'd like to have some extra cash. Money to give me the freedom to do what I want, to go to places I'd like to be, and be able to fulfill my dreams. That would be nice. It's not really a need but more of a want. I already have what I need, the love from my family, everything else will just be bonus from a challenging but well-lived life. Wishing one and all a very happy and prosperous 2021.

Even though we live at different places, we live under the same sky (Japanese proverb). Merry Christmas 2020 and Happy New Year2021! Celebrating this joyous, loving and momentous occasion shouldn't be stopped, delayed nor postponed! Not the pandemic, calamities, disasters, wars, among many other negativities should stop our wonderful and awesome commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ. It is not the gifts, the parties, the food, the holidays, the merriment that is important. Yes, they are all part of the festivities but not really necessary. They are good to have, however, we can go on if they're not available. Jesus is the reason for the season!
