A man must make his own arrows (Winnebago proverb). More than half of the year 2020 has been spent on lock-downs in all forms, levels and modifications. The months has seen people come out with inert talents in cooking, baking, gardening, among many other hobbies and expertise. Social media has been flooded with photos, stories, and blogs. Everyone wanted to share and showcase one's creation, invention or re-invention of family and regional dishes. True enough, supermarkets and groceries quickly ran out of flour, sugar, condiments, etc. for cooking and baking. Who would have thought on an ube pandesal? That seemed to just caught on-fire right away. Others tried on barbering and cutting their hair, doing their own manicure and pedicure, and so many other mundane things, that one could do with heaps of time available. The hours, days and weeks spent on lock-down, in a way, was put to good use too.
